Professional Truck Driver Institute
Since its inception in 1986, the Professional Truck Driver Institute, Inc. (PTDI) has become the nation's foremost advocate of optimum standards and professionalism for entry-level truck driver training. The Institute is credited with developing the first voluntary curriculum and certification standards recognized by both the industry and government and continually seeking improvements. The Institute also serves as a public forum where stakeholders -- motor carriers, insurers, schools, government bodies, safety advocates, and the news media -- can join hands in the task, assuring that America's lifeblood movement of goods is in the hands of the best trained and safest drivers.
