Mortgage Broker (License)
License Description:
Major Requirements for License:

1) Three or more years' experience as a mortgage broker, or equivalent lending experience in a related business during the five years immediately preceding the time of application;
2. Satisfactorily completed a course of study approved by the Superintendent of Financial Institutions during the three years immediately preceding the time of application;
3. Passed a mortgage broker's test, pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code section 6-908, not more than one year before the granting of the license;
4) Every person licensed as a mortgage broker shall deposit with the superintendent, before doing business as a mortgage broker, a bond executed by the licensee as principal and a surety company authorized to do business in this state as surety
5) Application Fee - see "License Fee.

License Fee: Initial - $800; Renewal (Annually on or before Sept. 30 - $250 (negotiates or closes 50 or fewer loans in preceding year), $500 (negotiates or closes more than 50 loans in preceding calendar year). In addition, a mortgage broker shall pay $200 for each branch office.
